Erik & Bre {Fall Portraits}

Last week we headed up to Red Rocks for a fall portrait session with Erik and Bre.  Red Rocks is always such a great place for portrait sessions - there is so much variety at this location.

Scott and I had a great time with Erik and Bre during their session.  Scott and I feel so blessed that we get to photograph such great people.  It is such a joy to have fun with our clients while photographing them.

Erik and Bre are adorable together and were wonderful to photograph. We got some beautiful shots, and I think their love for one another is evident in each image.

Brad & Mariah {wedding}

Scott and I photographed Brad and Mariah's engagement session earlier this summer.  They are such a fun couple, and we had been looking forward to their fall wedding this year.

Brad and Mariah were married at South Suburban Christian Church.

I absolutely love the father/daughter moments right before the bride comes down the aisle.  I tear up way too much if I am at the back of the church with the bride, and Scott captures these moments perfectly.

We knew when we met them for their session that they were a perfect pair.  They balance each other perfectly, it is just so fun to watch them together.

The reception was held at Brad's mother's house.  Because of the cold weather that came through the morning of the wedding, they actually had to shovel snow off of the lawn.  It actually reminded me of scenes from "Father of the Bride" where they used a hairdryer to thaw out flowers and brought in heaters for the tents. But regardless of the winter-like weather, Mariah and Brad's family transformed their backyard into a beautiful reception area.

These two had their first dance to the romantic Etta James classic, "At Last".  It was a beautiful way to end the evening.

Brad & Mariah, we wish you all the best in the years ahead as husband and wife! We pray your marriage is blessed. Congratulations!

Taylor & Sarah {wedding}

Taylor and Sarah had a classic military wedding. There is something so magical about military weddings, and this was no exception.

These two were so wonderful to photograph. Taylor and Sarah are some of the sweetest people you will ever meet. They treated us like family, and even on their wedding day, kept asking Scott and I if we needed anything, or if we had enough water. They truly care about everyone. It is evident they love each other deeply, and their love is so beautiful.

Taylor and Sarah had a traditional Catholic ceremony and said their vows in front of God and their family and friends at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Parish.

The couple made their grand exit from the church through the traditional saber arch.

Scott and I have such gratitude for all military personnel. These people and their families are amazing, and their sacrifice for each of us in this country is unbelievable. Taylor is a Lieutenant in the Army, and is part of a tight group of guys. It was so touching to get a feel of the bond that these guys have.

The reception was at The Wellshire pavilion. This venue is gorgeous and was the perfect place to end the evening.  Taylor and Sarah enjoyed every moment of their reception and everyone celebrated into the night!

Sarah and Taylor, it was an honor to be a part of your wedding day. We pray God blesses your marriage, and your life together. Taylor, thank you for your service to this country; thank you both for the daily sacrifices you make. Congratulations!
