2010 Photo of the Year Contest

I can't believe it is already the new year! That means it's time for our second annual photo of the year contest!

In 2010 we photographed some absolutely spectacular weddings, some beautiful families, expecting mothers that were just glowing and precious babies! It was incredibly difficult to decide which images were my favorite from the entire year. Now we need your help to decide the overall best photo of the year for 2010.

This year, we will have one winner per category, and an all-around winner. The winner from each category will receive the winning image as an 8x10 print (a $65 value). The overall winner of the 2010 Photo of the Year will receive the winning image as a mounted 11x14 print as well as the digital negative (a $200 value).

In order to cast your vote, please leave a comment at the end of this post with the image number you think should win. Voting will continue through midnight on Sunday, February 6th, and winners will be announced on our blog by Tuesday, February 8th. Only one vote per person per category will be counted.

Chris & Mindy {wedding}

Chris and Mindy were married on December 28 at Chief Hosa Lodge in Genesee. They lucked out with absolutely gorgeous weather for their outdoor ceremony! The two of them wrote their own vows, which were beautiful; I had a hard time holding back the tears myself. Mindy's was stunning. Her bouquet was incredible; the stems were even wrapped in fur. All of the flowers were provided by The Plum Gallery.

Matthew & Kathryn {maternity}

I had the honor of shooting maternity pictures for some dear friends, Matthew and Kathryn. They are expecting a little boy, nicknamed "Ace", in early February. These two are so excited to be welcoming their son, and Kathryn is just glowing. They are going to be such wonderful parents, and we cannot wait to meet Ace in just a few weeks!

Christie & Adam {engagement}

The day of Christie and Adam's engagement session was beautiful, yet freezing cold. I still am not sure how they didn't freeze without wearing coats - they don't even look cold in these pictures. They are a beautiful couple, and it is basically impossible to get a "bad" picture of these two. Christie and Adam are getting married at Holy Ghost Catholic Church this summer - it will be incredible.

Fall Family Portraits

This past weekend we photographed such a fun family in the fall colors. While the colors weren't as golden as we had hoped, we got some amazing shots of the family! We were laughing through out their entire session.
